    This is an excellent opportunity for a cook to work in a large child care centre located near Aberfoyle Park (Adelaide).

    The hours of work are 0800am - 1300pm Monday to Friday, the centre are willing to consider someone 3 days per week minimum. The position is from Monday 31st October to Friday 2nd December.

    Hourly rate of pay is: $34.03.

    Typical duties include:
    • Following food safety regulations for safe food storage, handling and preparation.
    • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
    • Ensure food safety program records and documentation is maintained.
    • Liaise with the Director, educator staff and parents of the centre regarding children’s food and needs as required, particularly around children’s dietary and allergy requirements.
    • Contribute to a friendly and supportive team environment that is led by a focus on supporting children’s needs.

    To be sucessful you must:
    • Food safety/management certificate (or equivalent trade qualification/experience in commercial cooking)
    • Proven understanding of food safety regulations and allergy awareness/management
    • Strong planning, time-management and organisation skills
    • Working with Children Check (South Australia)
    • Previous experience working in a Child Care Centre (Ideal, not essential)
