One of Sydney's fastest growing contractors is looking for a Contract Administrator to join the Commercial team based in Western Sydney. If you are looking for an honest, ambitious contractor with strong growth plans this will be the role for you.

The contractor offers a wide range of projects up to the value of $30m working with top tier contractors within the civil and construction space. The business was established nearly 15 years ago, with a strong order book and ambitious and experienced team they have decided to make this already successful business bigger, offering a great opportunity for progression and be a part of this growing contractor at the early stages.

Your duties will include:

  • Understanding of Construction Contracts and reviewing Client Contracts before signing
  • Preparing Client Progress Claims and have strong client facing skills
  • Administration of Subcontract and preparing Subcontractors Payment Schedule and negotiating variations
  • Assisting Project team in issuing drafting variation notices and EOT
  • Assisting Project team in preparation of variations and EOT
  • Read drawings
  • Regular Visits to Sites and might be required to work from Site 1-2 days depending on the need of the project manager.
  • Responsible for the project cost control and preparation of project cost report for monthly project reviews.
  • Managing site team and make sure all costs going to the system has a Cost code and Identify where are we making money or losing money and discuss with the PM what corrective action can be done.

You will need the following expierence to apply for this role:

  • 3-4 years’ experience in a Contract Administration role preferably with a large Tier 1-2
  • Experience working on Civil projects (Industrial/Commercial buildings will be advantage)
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, organisation and communication skills
  • Strong communication skills - written & verbal
  • Good command of Microsoft package and general Software knowledge for processing claims
