The Company:This large fit out company has a strong pipeline of commercial projects in Sydney and specialise in a variety of commercial fit out, local government and high end retail from $500k up to $15m AUD in value. From concept through to completion their depth and knowledge of successfully winning small to medium size projects, holds them very much in a sought after position, allowing them to enter niche market’s and to continuously evolve. With major project focus in sourcing the best talent for the business, they are looking to appoint a savvy, vibrant commercially astute Contract Administrator to their team.The Role:With high commercial acumen and a sheer passion for your work, you will be required to work well autonomously and communicate effectively with the Commercial Director and designated Project Manager daily. You will be mentored to be a focused negotiator, managing the financial aspects of sub-contract packages for mixed commercial projects.You will be based in their offices in the CBD and regularly visit the sites you are working on, although throughout lockdown you will be asked to work from home. Key Responsibilities:ProcurementReviewing, negotiating, and finalising subcontractsAdministering RFI’sVariations, EOT’s and cost planningBudget managementPreparing subcontract packages (scopes, procurement and scheduling)Progress claim assistance and external variationsHead contract managementTo be Successful:You will have completed a Construction related degree in Sydney2 years + experience working for a reputable Australian recognised Fit Out company on projects ideally over $2million +You must have worked for a head contractor, unfortunately those with only subcontractor experience will not be the right fit for this positionA thirst for a challenge, energy to over achieve, and vision to exceed and grow within the business in a fast paced environment and you will be responsible for 2-3 projects simultaneously (dependant on the size).Culture & Benefits:In return you have the unique opportunity to work for a large fit out company in the Sydney arena on projects that their competitors were disappointed not to win.
