My client is a standout player in the Tier Three space within the Melbourne construction industry. They work on a diverse range of projects across all commercial sectors and completed high quality new build projects to $20m fs to a broad base of loyal clients. Due to continued growth a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Contracts Administrator to join its team Melbourne.

This company is a leader in the industry in mentoring and developing their staff - they quite simply don't turn staff over due to this approach in tandem with a great team culture and generous remuneration rewards. They are conveniently located in the Eastern Suburbs with ample on site parking.

Working hand in hand with a Senior Project Manager, with higher level assistance available from the groups Commercial Manager available if required, the successful candidate's role would include:

  • Tender trade packages to contractors
  • Sub-contractor negotiations
  • Assisting preparation of budgets
  • Preparation of progress claims
  • Liaising with management regarding contracts
  • Administering progress payments and contract variations
  • Cost management and reporting

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in construction/building and have proven skills in the role of Project Co-ordinator or Contracts Administrator within a commercial build environment. You must have proven experience within a head contract environment from project inception to close out inclusive of scoping/procurement, cost forecasting/reporting, project close out and everything in between. Solid communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential coupled with the ability to work effectively in a team environment will be key to success in this role. A package in the $70k-$100k range is available, dependent upon experience.
