Company Profile for the Contracts Administrator role

Tier 1 business that are dedicated to safety on site and have invested in systems like Databuild, Aconex and BIM. At present they focus on townhouse masterplan community projects in the $50-$70million range

They offer new staff the chance to work on commercial projects, get involved with overseas procurement and have dedicated and large site teams as each project is resourced properly.

Responsibilities of the Contracts Administrator

As the CA you will be responsible for;

    • Contribute to developing project costs with Estimators
    • Contribute to tender preparation;
    • Ensure financial / contractual systems are established at site start-up
    • Contribute to the development of scopes
    • Tracking of the project programme.
    • Liaise with subcontractors and all appropriate consultants
    • Ensure that contract requirements are being met
    • Attend to general head contract and subcontract correspondence
    • Assist in planning and scheduling of various works
    • Ensure that project forecasts and cash flow statements are assessed and maintained
    • Assist in the accurate and timely submission of progress, variation & contractual claims
    • Ensure that subcontractor payments and variation claims are processed
    • Assist to ensure monthly financial reporting requirements are met
    • Assist to ensure project specific reporting requirements are met
    • Co-ordinate monthly reporting with head office based commercial staff
    • Work with colleagues to determine the most cost effective way to let packages
    • Understanding of all aspects of the contract and determine key areas of financial risk
    • Ensure compliance with the WHSEQ Policies and Procedures.

Skills and experience of the Contracts Administrator

    • Experience in delivering projects
    • Past delivery of projects at $30million +
    • Experience in maintaining head & subcontract relationships
    • Ability to interpret and apply contract documentation
    • Ability to assist in the negotiation of financial terms with subcontractors
    • Analytical skills
    • Ideally have experience with Aconex
    • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project experience
    • Minimum of 3 years as a CA
    • Design and construction experience preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • You must be a team player
    • Ambitious and interested in company growth
