About the Role

The Contract Administration Manager is a pivotal role on this multi-million dollar project based in Western Sydney. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years experience in a similar role. It is expected that personnel will be available when and if required including after business hours and during the weekend.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provision of expert contract management advice and support to the Project Team(s) on site for effective delivery of major projects
  • Promoting state governments commitment to cooperative relationship management at the contract start up workshops and periodic review meetings for the selected contracts
  • Implementation and deployment of consistent contract management and dispute resolution framework across all projects/program
  • Leading procurement activities, contract negotiations and discussions
  • Organising or participating in contractual audits as necessary to ensure that the contracting parties comply with their respective obligations under the contract
  • Undertaking the investigation, assessment and reporting of claims in dispute
  • Negotiate or participate in the negotiation process for a commercial resolution of any issue with the contractor
  • Compliance with safety and environmental management obligation


  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, commerce, business or relevant disciplines
  • Extensive experience in contract management, negotiations, claims analysis/assessment and dispute resolution processes in delivering major infrastructure projects
  • Proven capacity to analyse complex issues, use sound problem solving and risk assessment skills and make balanced and ethical judgements with a commercial focus
