Job Summary: As a concrete batcher, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the batching of concrete at our construction site. You will ensure that concrete mixes meet specified requirements and that batching operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Batching Operations: Accurately batch concrete mixes according to specifications provided.
- Quality Control: Monitor and ensure the quality of concrete mixes, including slump, temperature, and consistency.
- Material Handling: Coordinate the handling and storage of raw materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures) used in batching.
- Equipment Operation: Operate batching equipment and maintain it in good working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols during batching operations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of batching activities, including materials used and batch quantities.
- Communication: Coordinate with construction supervisors, concrete pourers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of concrete mixes.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a concrete batcher or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with concrete batching processes, equipment, and materials.
- Skills: Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions and specifications, strong organizational skills.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting heavy materials and working in outdoor environments.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in concrete technology is a plus.
MUST HAVES:
- Loader Ticket
- White Card
- Driver Licence
- Forklift Licence
- MUST HAVE batching plant experience
- Able to work days, night's & Saturdays
Work Environment:
- Typically works outdoors on construction sites.
- May require working in varying weather conditions and lifting heavy materials.
