An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Wellbeing Officer. We’re currently seeking applications for an experienced Community Officer who is available for a short term contract in November. This position will be based in a Local Council in the South West suburbs only 20 minutes from the CBD. This position is responsible for coordinating a community bus service. The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Coordinate and maintain the daily roster of volunteers for the community bus service
  • Support volunteers whom provide a high quality community bus service to council residents
  • Receive, respond and resolve passenger enquiries
  • Ensure vehicles and related equipment are not damaged at the end of the day

Qualifications, Experience and Capabilities:

  • Australian drivers licence is essential
  • Australian LR licence is preferred
  • Experience managing teams or volunteers and schedules
  • Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing staff
