COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR - WODEN

Here is your chance to positively impact the lives of people who have served their country! A fantastic new opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified mental health professional (Social Worker/Mental Health Nurse/Psychologist) working with a leading government organisation, based in Canberra.



YOUR ROLE:

The position aims to optimise a consumer’s wellbeing and participation in their community through community engagement, collaborative recovery work and complex case management. Being a true professional all intervention implemented will be evidence based with tried and proven results. You will:

  • Propose and facilitate innovation initiatives that contribute to evidence informed business improvement strategies for vulnerable or at risk veterans, defence force members and their families
  • Work collaboratively with both clients and patients a like.
  • Drive community engagement and identify needs of vulnerable defence veterans and/ or their families.
  • Complex case management
  • Liaise and form partnerships with key external stakeholders
  • Community development and service promotion



ABOUT YOU:

  • Qualified Psychologist/Mental Health Nurse/Occupational Therapist with AHPRA Registration or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW)
  • Valid Working with Children check & Vulnerable peoples check
  • Clinical case management experience
  • Defence and Veterans Affairs knowledge (distinct advantage)

ABOUT YOU:

You are a qualified mental health professional with the drive to help vulnerable individuals with complex needs and do what it takes to see them thrive in all aspects of life.

  • AHPRA registration or AMHSW accreditation as a Psychologist/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Registered Nurse
  • Clinical and case management experience
  • Knowledge of PTSD and related mental health conditions
  • Australian Citizen (federal gov requirement)
