This NSW State Government agency based in the heart of the CBD have an opportunity for a Social Media professional to join them for an initial 3 months, there will be the opportunity to apply for the permanent role.

In this role you will report into the communications manager and provide expert advice and research to support initiatives to assist the agency in their drive of innovation, collaboration and best practice. This government agency undertakes program work in relation to communicating key initiatives through developing and executing communication plans for traditional communication channels and digital channels.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Develop, implement and maintain social media strategies and engaging content for campaigns and projects
  • Develop and implement paid media strategies which include repurposing existing content, managing an ongoing bank of collateral, and proactively contributing new content and campaign ideas to exceed social objectives and create an exceptional user experience.
  • Manage online communities, monitoring and responding to a wide range of enquiries
  • Report on social media metrics, evaluate and advise on campaign performance to optimise content and tactics and increase engagement
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on relevant campaigns, projects and tasks to ensure consistency
  • Assist the Communications Manager to identify, develop and implement internal and external initiatives
  • Coordinate the digital planning associated with internal and external events; including promotional collateral to support the delivery of effective wider communications.

Essential Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field and / or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience working in an enterprise web content management system
  • Competent in working across multiple digital channels including Facebook Business Manager and Linkedin Campaign Manager
  • Ability to produce strategically creative content
  • Photography stills and photo editing highly desirable.
