About the Role:
As a Commissioning Lead, you will be pivotal in steering the commissioning and delivery phases of complex projects to ensure alignment with project objectives and specifications. Your leadership will guide both internal teams and external stakeholders through the commissioning process, delivering high-quality outcomes and exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee and direct commissioning activities across multiple projects, ensuring that they align with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align commissioning strategies with project objectives, managing expectations and ensuring seamless communication.
- Documentation and Procedures: Develop, review, and approve project-specific commissioning management and validation documents, ensuring they meet all regulatory and design specifications.
- Reporting and Meetings: Lead project commissioning meetings and prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly commissioning status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Technical Oversight: Provide expert technical commentary on drawings, manuals, and technical submittals. Ensure that MEP equipment start-up and QA test script execution adhere to design specifications.
- Scope and Change Management: Document and manage scope change items, providing recommendations and solutions to address any deviations from the initial project scope.
- Technical and Operational Support: Offer high-level technical and operational support to field teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle, driving service excellence and customer satisfaction.
About You:
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or a comparable trade background.
- Experience: Extensive experience in large building projects within services engineering, consulting, or coordination, with a proven track record in a senior commissioning role.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of Data Centre infrastructure, including electrical systems, control systems, and facilities operations, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating subcontractors and consulting engineers, with a strong focus on quality and safety in construction projects.
- Project Management: Excellent planning, program, and stakeholder management skills, with a history of successfully managing multiple high-profile projects.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage client expectations effectively.
