The Role:

Reporting to the Care Services Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of quality nursing care to residents in the most ethical and efficient manner. Your responsibilities:

  • To coordinate effective assessment, planning, delivery and ongoing evaluation of care and service to residents, in partnership with other teams, including all aspects of daily living such as physical and psychological needs.
  • Effective management and leadership of the team in a clinical care setting.
  • Partner with the Care Services Manager to ensure legislative requirements pertaining to care delivery are complied with at all times
  • Ensure cost effective service delivery through effective use and control of organisational resources in meeting resident’s needs
  • Actively participates in quality activities that ensure the provision of excellent resident outcomes including compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Training and mentoring of staff, including ensuring their continuiing professional development
  • Establishes and maintains communication that facilitates teamwork and multidisciplinary
  • collaboration and supports all staff in the provision of care to residents.
  • Continuously look for improvement opportunities, including looking and research and policy development to ensure they remain to be seen as a leading, forward thinking and ethical organisation.

The requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a RN
  • Leadership experience and or strong capability to lead, motivate and engage a team
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Passion for making a difference in day to day lives of residents
  • Aged care experience as a RN preferred, or excellent knowledge of the aged care sector
