Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight:
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise within the aged care home.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and care needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
Staff Management:
- Supervise and support nursing and care staff.
- Facilitate training and professional development programs for the care team.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Quality Improvement:
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in clinical care services.
- Participate in accreditation processes and audits.
Family and Resident Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with residents and their families.
- Address concerns and ensure open communication channels.
- Act as an advocate for residents' rights and well-being.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Proven experience in a similar clinical care management role within the aged care sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of aged care standards, regulations, and accreditation processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
