Your new department

Be apart of a large Federal Government Department based Brisbane, who’s primary function is to conduct the safety regulation of civil air operations in Australia.


Your new position

As a Client Service Officer, you will be working within a team to provide support and undertake a range of client service and administration activities on behalf of the department.

  • Perform a range of client service activities including the following:
    - Open, scan, queue and file manage incoming mail.
    - Receive incoming licence applications via email and record into an in-house system.
    - Monitor the status of applications, take corrective action when necessary and initiate escalation procedures
    - Handle external and internal inquiries about regulatory services, including calls, internet inquiries, email and mail, and escalate inquiries to technical specialists when appropriate.
  • Process applications for regulatory services using standard operating procedures;
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake other administrative support functions as required.



Your Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you would have skills & experience in the following to be a successful Client Service Officer:

The following are mandatory requirements:

  • High demostrated experience in MS Office application suite including high-level computer literacy and accurate keyboarding/data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated well developed oral and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, style and language to suit the communication purpose and audience.
  • Demonstrated recent experience in customer service and in the use of client management systems and/or ability to adapt to new systems.

The following are desirable:

  • Experience in high volume call centres/processing centres would be highly desirable.
  • Experience working within a regulatory service or technical environment.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the aviation industry.
