civil design drafter in Brisbane

About the Role

My client is a nationally known consultancy with offices spread down the east coast. Their main clients are government and private bodies working on large scale developments. Their Civil Engineering division has seen steady growth in project work and are now wanting to grow with a skilled Civil Designer or Civil Design Drafter.

In this role, your duties will include but not limited to:

• Design and drafting of civil works ranging from roads, subdivision work and construction inspections;
• Working on developing civil templates where needed;
• Working closely with the team of Engineers and Project Managers to produce civil design drawings using AutoCAD and 12D;
• Managing delivery of design drawings and models;
• Coordinating design with other Engineering disciplines;
• Communicating with clients and authorities.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Solid experience of design and drafting for residential, commercial and industrial developments;
• Experience using AutoCAD and 12D;
• Ability to complete drawings autonomously whilst also coordinating with the Engineers;
• A desire to show initiative on design opportunities and problem solving;
• Strong attention to detail.
