Our client is a global leader in the restaurant market with a universally known and loved brand reputation. They are now seeking a COO who will be accountable for the sales and operational performance of all company outlets, including the development and execution of objectives and plans designed to achieve company's growth, revenue and profit targets.

The role motivates, develops and manages field management and staff to realise corporate and equally importantly, individual goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual Operations Plan and Budget designed to meet and exceed the company's Annual Operating Plan KPIs. Specifically recommend sales and growth targets by Area and Unit. Manage approved Plan and Budget.
  • Develop and implement action plans to ensure continued progress in all elements of People Development, Operational Excellence and Sales & Profit Growth, as well as Innovation and Continuous Improvement.
  • Drive and manage performance of all Field Management and Restaurant Management against established Balanced Scorecard (BSC), organisational goals and required behaviours.
  • Maximise sales opportunities and development activities through image enhancement, marketing programs, etc.
  • Ensure peers in the Executive Team are informed about competitor activity and recommend/implement competitive strategies.
  • Lead, motivate and oversee the execution of field-based Learning & Development Plans in conjunction with the Human Resources Department in order to achieve company objectives.
  • Drive and manage appropriate manpower levels and to provide candidates for succession, progression and growth.

Your Experience & Attributes

You are a people focused leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, ensuring your staff is valued and motivated. You roll your sleeves up and treat people of all levels with the same attention and respect. In addition you will have;

  • Significant experience in Senior Operations / Sales Commercial position with accountability for sales, profit and people management essential.
  • Experience with retail, service and/or multi-outlet industry.
  • Sound comprehension and technical knowledge of HR, People Development and Finance, with demonstrated capability in implementing strategic business plans in collaboration with these internal areas.
  • An ability to formulate, analyse and interpret financial and other business performance data is essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal / communication skills to inspire breakthrough performance, build and manage relationships, and positively influence beyond span of control.
  • Change leadership and management experience.
  • Demonstrated high standards in making a lasting contribution to the business and setting an example by way of personal leadership in work quality and behaviour
  • Sound executive level planning, directing, leading and coaching skills completed with honesty and integrity.
