Randstad Education specialises in the recruitment of Early Childhood staff across Melbourne. We specialise in Pre-Schools/Kindergartens, long day care centres, occasional care services, OOSH services and vacation programs.

This large, purpose built centre in the vibrant suburb of Northcote is seeking an experienced Diploma or Bachelor trained Director to manage there brand new ELC. The position would be managing a 6 room, 130 place long day care centre, open 7:30am – 6.00pm, and catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Your role would include overseeing all aspects of the centre - daily routines; staffing; ratios; policies; regulations; rostering; staff management; parent relationships; implement policies and procedures; attend staff meetings where required and ensure the centre is providing the highest quality care.

The service is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and has an abundance of brand new resources and amazing play spaces! Where educators can create welcoming, educational and play based programs for all children. The service is privately owned, and you would be supported by dedicated and professional team. The service has onsite secure parking and also very close to all public transport links.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold either a Diploma of Children’s Services or a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
  • Hold current First Aid and Anaphylaxis training
  • Have a Working With Children Check card
  • Be experienced managing a large team
  • Ideally be experienced as a centre manager
  • Be confident with leading and mentoring staff
  • Be experienced handling parent enquiries and conducting tours/orientations
  • Be experienced writing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Have a solid understanding of the EYLF
  • Be looking to commit to a role long term
