The Centre

My client is a brand new state of the art, family owned and operated childcare centre in Chatswood. They are dedicated to ensuring that all children are provided with the best head start to their early years of learning and education. They own and operate three other exceeding centres in the area and hope to get this centre to exceed in the future.

The 54 place centre will open in February 2018, it is purpose built with spacious indoor and outdoor areas which provide children with lots of space for discovery in a natural environment. The centre is designed to cater for all ages with an emphasis on providing a warm sense of security, home, and belonging.

The role

This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced, strong Centre Director to create a culture, build, mentor and develop a team in a brand new venture. It is an on the floor role, you will divide your time evenly between being on the floor with the children and running the day to day activities of the centre.

You will be supported by the owner as much or as little as you require depending on experience and capability.

The role will provide you with the scope and opportunity to demonstrate your effective management skills, create innovative ideas, increase occupancy and ensure the smooth day to day running of the centre.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood
  • Provide visible leadership, direction and issue resolution at all levels
  • A track record of developing and motivating a team
  • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness are maintained at a consistent level
  • Ability to engage with and foster strong relationships with a broad variety of stakeholders
  • Have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
