About the role
Reporting to the Group Product Manager, you will be required to contribute to the overall strategic management of Narva and Projecta products while working collaboratively with product team members, quality and sales. You will also provide category insights and proposals by analysing marketing and customer data to provide optimal product, sourcing, pricing and manage product life cycles to ensure products are supported, price and margins are maintained, and successor products are developed as required.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyse data and market insights to determine industry and consumer trends
- Grow the brands with new product introductions and manage the product life cycle
- Develop innovative and differentiated products (step-change, incremental and breakthrough) in line with company growth strategy and customer demand
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors
- Be able to analyse competition and position prices accordingly
- Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for the category
About you
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of three years experience in a similar category/product manager role within automotive electrical and/or power management products. Other experience could include solar and battery knowledge. Ideally degree qualified, you will be detail oriented with excellent analytical and organisational skills. Any exposure to international businesses along with excellent written and verbal communication will also help set you up for success. Being a team player and working collaboratively with other areas of the business is crucial to thrive in this company.
