Randstad Procurement are engaged to recruit an experienced Category Lead specialist to lead the design and implementation of the category plans for assigned spend categories, specifically involving;

  1. Workplace rehab
  2. Medical/legal
  3. Radiology

The organisation strives to ensure that the service providers operate in a manner consistent with the provider management framework and strategy,

Primary duties of the role:

  • Design and implement the annual plan for the assigned spend categories, including initial selection/contracting for new categories.
  • Provide relationship management in line with an engagement plan.
  • Establish appropriate value and quality performance measures (SLA’s, KPI’s) for assigned categories, ensuring proper communication and monitoring of providers.
  • Organise/conduct quarterly performance reviews for allocated categories, including gathering relevant performance data from relevant sources
  • Engage providers on improvements plans to ensure high quality services is provided to customer and monitor industry developments which may impact workers insurance, this could mean engaging industry groups.
  • Operate Category Governance Committee meetings as appropriate, for the assigned spend categories.
  • Drive relevant value adds from the provider to support customer service enhancement.
  • Coordinate/collaborate with provider operations to ensure operational delivery in line with contract, service model and compliance requirements to support functional

Candidate criteria:

  • Applicants must have proven experience with managing several categories, specifically Workplace rehab (Return to work, Loss prevention & Pricing),
  • legal and HR procurement activities are a bonus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as demonstrated experience with negotiations and supplier engagement
  • Degree or CIPS qualification
  • Applicants must have full Australian Working Rights
