You will be responsible for completing review requests from participants. You will work within a framework of legislation and closely with various stakeholders and understanding their needs. This opportunity will allow you to utilise your previous experience in dispute resolution of complaints, insurance and claims assessment, or statutory decision making experience. Your main responsibilities will include:Manage a portfolio of 100 requests (decisions relating to reasonable and necessary supports and whether or not to conduct a plan review)Apply legislation, operational guidelines and internal policy to individual requestsApply principles of administrative law decision making in accordance with both primary and secondary sourcesCollect further information by undertaking research and critical analysis skillsCommunication with various stakeholders including participants and their representatives)Undertake end to end process of internal review – from contact with participant to drafting decision for delegate approval to implementation of decision by associated delegates Your profile will demonstrate:A positive attitude to people with disability and its impact on individualsPrevious experience in making decisions under legislationPrevious background in insurance/claims assessment, or dispute resolution of complaints backgroundSuccessful applicants must hold full Australian Working Rights and be open to a full police clearance to be conducted.Availability to commence in early May 2019If this sounds like an opportunity you would be interested in, please APPLY directly with a standardised resume in Microsoft Word format.
