Location: Southern Suburbs

Position: Full Time

Contract: Temporary, approx 3 months with potential to extend - START ASAP

The role:

We are looking for an experienced purchasing & logistic officer to support a global supply chain team. Reporting to the supply chain specialists, this role is responsible to support the team with import/export administration, raising and managing PO's, handling direct materials procurement.

You will work closely with internal and external departments to provide a high level of customer service, coordination, support and resolutions.


Duties:

• database and spreadsheet management

• tracking and following up delivery progress

• assistance with stock management

• support to the parts and customer service departments as required

• accurate and prompt data entry and records management

Required skills :

• experience in purchasing / procurement roles. Preferably with manufacturing background experience• strong knowledge of production buying principles and practices• hold the ability to manage high workload and expectations of stakeholders and build relationships
• demonstrates attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• natural problem solver and ability to think outside of the box
• experience with ERP systems, preferably PRONTO
• proven planning, organisational and negotiating skills

Working with supply chain leaders under pressure, you must have great interpersonal skills, be able to plan, think proactively, re-asses and re-prioritise when necessary, manage expectations and work towards quick and high goal posts whilst maintaining a positive and energetic demeanour - the team spirit is high in this group!
