Excellent opportunity currently exists for a high level Business Support Officer to join the Federal Government, located in Lismore.

Our client, a federal government agency is currently seeking a Business Support Officer to provide high level Administrative support to their regional team based in the Lismore area.

The main duties will involve:

  • Providing high level administrative support to the team.
  • Managing emails, appointments and calendar system for local office and multiple staff.
  • Prepare reports & correspondence.
  • Booking travel and fleet management and coordinate credit card acquittal requirements.
  • Coordinate and organise executive meetings and community forums.
  • Provide information about mainstream/disability services as part of general enquiries to the office.
  • Receive and record complaints and other feedback in the Agency data base.
  • Assisting with the procurement and purchasing of small plan components.
  • Accurate data entry / record management and information provided by participants in the Agency.
  • Contribute to building strong relationships with communities, families and local organisations.
  • Liaising with health and other support providers to gather and verify information.
  • participating in internal quality assurance processes and continuous improvement processes.

  • Essential Skills:
  • Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven high level administrative experience (intermediate to advanced MS Word and Excel skills)
  • Highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work within the team and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • Prioritising workload based on individual and business needs.
  • A current Working with Vulnerable Person's/ Children Card is highly regarded.
