Randstad is on the lookout for a Business Process Lead to manage and lead the process design and modelling delivery of key complex business processes. These deliverables provide the end to end common processes that link the business and the technology future state for the client’s strategic Initiatives - Continuous Improvement Program (CIP).

The Business Process Lead will work with project teams and business stakeholders to manage a team of business process analysts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with the CIP Business Architect to recommend and co-design updates to the Integrated Process Architecture
  • Lead the Business Process Analyst team to document the processes in the ARIS toolset under the guidance of the ARIS Administrator and using NSW Government process conventions and methodology
  • Liaise with the CIP ARIS Administrator in relation to managing the process content in the ARIS database including any additional process ARIS requirements that surface
  • Manage the quality assurance of the business processes in ARIS in conjunction with the ARIS Administrator
  • Work with the Processes & Procedures Lead to plan and scope process work including workshop planning, process design working sessions and overall scheduling of the teams deliverables
  • Plan and Lead process workshops to gather information, design process and playback process design to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with the Processes & Procedures Lead to provide all required status updates to project team, users, and various levels of management as appropriate.
  • Lead the team to document procedures where required to support the process in line with the Client procedural document standard.
  • Other duties as required or directed to ensure the achievement of the position objectives and other business objectives.

To succeed in this role you have:

  • Experience leading teams or managing large scale and complex process design projects with at least 5 years’ experience as a business process analyst.
  • Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into logical and well-structured processes and procedures.
  • High level of project management skills including workshop scoping and scheduling and workshop facilitation and delivery skills
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies and understand and adapt quickly to SAP and other technologies and translate that into business process.
  • Experience working with process modelling tools and have the ability to manage a range of activities in a busy and fast-changing project environment. Experience with ARIS toolset or willingness to learn to use the tool.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including MS Powerpoint and MS Visio skills.
  • Ability to work with and influence high-level business stakeholders to achieve delivery and partner with system technical designers and data quality analysts to derive business process.


  • Knowledge of the Asset Management and/or Rail Industry would be an advantage
  • Ability to assist with Change management and training of processes or procedures
  • Modelling Techniques: Functional structured and levelled processes
  • Experienced in major integration of business transformation and change projects
  • Experience in ERP systems
