About the Role:
The successful candidate will be an experienced and effective Business Management or Business Studies teacher, responsible for teaching NSW Stage 5 Geography to Year 10 students and IB Standard Level and Higher Level Business Management to Year 11 and 12 students. In 2024, the schools first Year 10 cohort will join, requiring the successful candidate to contribute to the design and implementation of a Geography program. This program aims to equip students with academic skills and knowledge for their senior humanities studies. The candidate will have a proven track record in supporting the educational development of high-potential students and implementing differentiation in lessons.
As a talented and passionate Business teacher, you will drive the development of engaging learning activities, assessments, and programs to enhance motivation and academic excellence. Collaboration within the team is essential, providing vital support for students in IB core components like Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Experience teaching IB Business Management or Stage 6 Business Studies (HSC) and Stage 5 Geography or History.
- Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW & current NSW Working with Children Check
- Have a passion for teaching the relevant subject area(s) and relevant teaching experience
- Have recognised Tertiary Educational Qualifications
- Be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
