This position is responsible to profitably increase sales within the designated territories, through the development of customer sales, product range extensions & new business development utilising the marketing programs & merchandising strategies designed to maximise the Brand to reach our full market potential.
Key Duties:
- Manage the territory to achieve monthly/quarterly & annual budget objectives, whilst maintaining adequate coverage/servicing to meet customer expectations
- To maintain and develop customer sales within the designated territory to maximise the sales potential at profitable gross margin returns to achieve the annual budget
- Maintain a regular call cycle for the existing customer base, whilst continually seeking new business opportunities within the territory
- Develop existing Key accounts by executing strategies and expanding our footprint within the store
- Present promotional activity to ensure growth in sales & shelf space increases at all customer outlets
- Attend trade evenings & schedule regular instore training programs with counter staff & End Users
Your skills and experience
- At least 2 years' prior experience as a BDM or Sales Representative
- Excellent product knowledge
- Ability to lead by example and be a role model to the wider organisation
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Customer focused mind-set
- People oriented and results driven
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Effective relationship building, networking and influencing skills
- Excellent communications skills – written, verbal and interpersonal - with an ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences
