The Company

Our client is a national company, part of an international business offering fastening products and solutions to construction and industrial customers. They have an impressive local customer base. They have built up long-lasting relationships within industry by completing extensive research and development. They operate globally and locally with leading innovations in fastening technologies. They have a long history in Australia and have had sustained and carefully managed growth. It is due to this growth they are looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Brisbane based team.

The Role

In this Brisbane based role you, as Business Development Manager, will report directly to the State Sales Manager. This role will be residential and based in Brisbane, with regular travel to customer sites and facilities. You will be responsible for product and solution sales for fastening products to construction and commercial customers. Sales cycles can and will range to two years. Large companies will be your customers and will fall under your remit. As part of a national business, you will have all the materials and resources required to seek out, develop and finalise sales contracts. In this autonomous role, you will engage in business partnering and stakeholder engagement. Salesforce will be your CRM.

Your Profile

You will have demonstrated technical sales experience in the construction and commercial sectors. You will have highly developed communication skills and proven history in developing key relationships. You will have experience in providing products and solutions that are useful and relevant to your customers’ needs.

Experience in an autonomous sales environment will be highly regarded.
