As a highly regarded market leader within the building and construction industry, our client is seeking to employ an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Melbourne team. This is an exciting opportunity to enter into a dynamic business that is consistently growing and with plans for major growth in the future. The company has consistently grown in demand since it's acquisition last year, hence the need to bring on board an additional Business Development Manager.

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will undertake a diverse range of tasks aimed at generating new business opportunities and creating new revenue streams. You will be given a portfolio of key growth accounts to manage and grow whilst consistently seeking new business opportunities. 50% of the role will be acquiring service contracts for the brand, and the other 50% will be capital sales of telehandling equipment. You will also be expected to build and maintain relationships across the Service and Commercial sectors and provide a consultative based sales approach.

Suitable candidates will have had a background working in the hire industry and have experience working with construction clients along with a proven track record of achievement in terms of sales.

You will have:

  • Experience in the Hire/Rentals Industry
  • Experience with Telehandlers and Access equipment highly desirable
  • Experience in strategic business development
  • Strong sales knowledge within building & construction
  • Exceptional communication & presentation skills
