The Company

Our client is a global business which provides automotive tyre and earthmoving products to resources clients. They also sell related rubber products. They are a successful exponent in providing project related solutions and products in mining and resources. They also have tailored maintenance programs that are highly regarded within industry. Their commitment to their clients´ equipment productivity and reliability has resulted in consistent and sustainable growth both here and overseas. They have a network of offices across Australia and are looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to their team to manage sales and service delivery to their customers based in Central Queensland.


The Role

This role will be residential and based in Central Queensland, with regular travel to regional customer offices as well as to Brisbane and Melbourne. In this role, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager. You will be responsible for acquiring new business in product and solution sales of automotive tyre and earthmoving products to major mining houses and junior miners. Civil and construction contractor companies will also be your customers and fall under your remit. You will keep and farm what you acquire but the primary focus will be to seek and acquire new sales. As part of a global business, you will have all the materials and resources required to develop and finalise sales and service contracts. In this autonomous role, you will engage in business partnering and stakeholder engagement.


Your Profile

You will have demonstrated technical business development experience. You will have highly developed communication skills and proven history in developing key relationships. You will have experience in providing product and solutions that are useful and relevant to your customers’ needs.

Experience in an autonomous, regional sales environment, while not essential, will be highly regarded. Experience in earthmoving equipment will also be highly regarded.
