Primary purpose of the role
The Business Analyst reviews and analyses the organisation's business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify and document changes that lead to business improvements. The role is responsible for consulting with stakeholders to provide assistance in the mapping of existing and future business processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency across the organisation.
Key accountabilities
- Review and analyse the organisation’s business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify and document changes that lead to business improvements
- Undertake analysis and interpretation of organisational data to evaluate the performance of the organisation to maximise efficiencies and service to NSW Communities
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends and assist with determining business priorities
- Identify, analyse and document user requirements for new business solutions and enhancements
Key knowledge and experience
- Developing a business analysis culture in the organization, which is faced with a constantly changing business environment and competing priorities
- Communicating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and expertise and encouraging their input into professional business analysis methodologies
- Applying strong analytical skills to leverage intelligence in operational and technological environments and business systems
