Brisbane City Council are seeking multiple Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the Transport for Brisbane division. This critical role involves maintaining and servicing Brisbane's bus fleet across multiple depots.
Role Overview
As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with Brisbane City Council, you will be an integral part of our workshop team, responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and plant equipment. This role offers a dynamic and challenging work environment where adherence to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic assessments and mechanical repairs on a diverse range of vehicles and plant equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.
- Manage parts inventory while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the workshop.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely service delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all work performed, including parts and materials utilized.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven expeirence as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- A current Australian-recognized Heavy Vehicle Trade Certificate is essential.
