Randstad is seeking an experienced Automation Test Analyst to be responsible for the successful implementation of an automation suite in a fast paced agile environment. This will include the preparation, maintenance and creation of automation test scripts to support the functional and high quality delivery of the program in accordance with the business strategy.

Key accountabilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and test plans.
  • Creation and maintenance of SQL, VB, Shell scripts.
  • Working closely with the project team to ensure timely completion of functional, integration and regression testing activities in line with the strategy.
  • Development of functional test scripts, with a view to automate using different test tools.
  • Modification and/or maintenance of the existing test scripts as part of the operational aspects for future testing purposes.
  • Working closely with technical teams and the vendor in resolving issues.
  • Create HL7 messages for the different interfacing applications.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations relating to testing processes and test tools.
  • Participating in the successful implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the creation, review, editing of test plan for the different test levels.
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving automation frameworks.
  • Setting up the test data, creation and maintenance of automation test environments
  • Preparation of completion reports.

  • Establish procedures to ensure the appliance of the adequate testing activities.
  • Establish collaborative and influential relationships with stakeholders, customers and colleagues, to ensure easy and effective achievement of team / project / business goals.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a constructive workplace culture.

Essential requirements:

  • Expertise in Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs) including Agile, Iterative and Waterfall approaches.
  • Demonstrated min 2 years of test automation experience, setting up and/or maintaining and improving automation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated min 2 years’ experience using Test Complete SmartBrear, Selenium, Cucumber, TOSCA or equivalent automated tool.
  • Experience in developing and managing test scripts\cases to meet agreed project scope and delivering according to agreed schedules, participate in developing and reviewing test plans and test strategy; use of test management tools for example JIRA, Zephyr, ServiceNow etc.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex systems, business processes and concepts.
  • Experience in using VB, C++, Java and Shell scripting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in DevOps concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with product vendors and other stakeholders in resolving application and technical issues.
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to work effectively across a number of IT systems and projects simultaneously in an environment of competing demands and priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities with exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing quality documentation, status reports, and other written communications utilising Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in a team environment, with a strong customer focus.
  • Experienced in writing automation scripts in any vendor based/open sourced tools.
