About your new role
This opportunity will have you working based out of the Toowong Workshops, becoming responsible for the maintenance and repair of Brisbane City Council Buses. You can be expected to:
- Diagnosing faults and repair needs
- Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring and computer-based equipment
- Testing, replacing, reconditioning and installing alternators, starter motors and batteries
- Maintenance of ignitions, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches
- Training and supervision of apprentices and trade assistants

What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have experience as an auto electrician, preferably within a fleet management role or working with a variety of vehicles.
- Australian Trade Qualified Auto Electrician
- 'C' class driver's licence
- Bus, Truck or Trailer experience preferable
- Mechanical knowledge of different bus types, their mechanic-electrical systems, and components is beneficial.

Transport for Brisbane is a major public transport provider within South East Queensland, responsible for providing a operational bus network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To assist in this their fleet contains over 1200 busses from 7 depots across Brisbane.
