your new role

A key leadership role has recently been made available within the fire safety team and this firm is now seeking an Associate Fire Safety Engineer to join and lead their established team. They are excited to welcome an innovative discipline leader, offering a pathway to becoming a shareholder and a Director in the business.

In this role, you will lead a fire safety team with a combine 20+ years experience and will collaborate closely with the directors and other discipline leads. As the discipline lead, you will be responsible in managing internal resources, financials, quality assurance, certification of projects, client face project management and be hands-on in the technical delivery of projects, while mentoring and guiding the junior members of the team.

Your key responsibility areas include:

  • Training, management and leadership
  • Technical capability and project management
  • Stakeholder relationships
  • Develop and maintaining engineering standards

your key skills and qualifications

Applications are welcome for experienced Senior Fire Safety Engineers looking to take the next step of their career or an Associate Engineer looking for a change and make a difference to a growing consultancy.

Key criteria’s include

  • Over eight years of fire safety engineering experience, ideally in consulting engineering
  • Australian project experience and knowledge of relevant standards, codes and legislations
  • Previous team and project management experience
  • Tertiary qualification in a recognised and relevant engineering field
  • Further education in Fire Engineering / Fire Safety & Risk Engineering either in a form of a Master's Degree or Diploma
  • Registered Building Practitioner (Victoria); other states advantageous
  • CPEng, NER, DHHS registered, advantageous
  • Team player with excellent time management and communication skills
