My client is looking to fill an Assistant Project Manager role. The successful candidate will play an integral part working between two business units in a support role. The Assistant Project Manager provides ongoing support to the Project Manager on cost, quality, programme and OHS&E.

This team govens and manages the process to on-board and transition an entity’s operational Property Services. The Transition Manager leads and oversees various workstream Subject Matter Experts (SME). TMO is required to plan, manage, coordinate all activities and key deliverables associated with Transition and act as a central point of contact with the client. Training would be provided to the successful candidate to carry out duties which is procedural and formally established

Core responsibilities

  • Assist the project manager with competing constraints related to cost, quality, programme and OHS&E
  • Coordinate and execute daily administrative tasks
  • Work well in both team settings and also work automatously
  • Assist the project manager with client presentations, meeting minutes, update bulletins for status reports, effectively communicate, risk manage, plan and coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be a voice in the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects
  • Assist project manager in the execution of the management plan for assigned projects
  • Help coordinate and manage project through all stages from initiation to post completion Review project designs and contribute ideas for value engineering
  • Carry out daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner
  • Track and directly report project status updates to project manager
  • Help problem solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project
  • Enter information into and manage the digital project databases
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with necessary specifications
  • Schedule meetings, phone calls, site inspections, etc.
  • Consult with and gather information from clients, engineers, contractors
  • Maintain positive vendor and client relationships
