job description

New Assistant Accountant opportunity for a fast paced global company based in North Ryde. This role would ideally be suited to an ambitious and experienced Assistant Accountant who is currently completing their CA/ CPA studies.

Please note the office is near public transport as there is limited parking spaces. Flexible working is provided e.g. 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Transactional Accounting tasks including AP ( approx 60 invoices weekly)

  • Bank, Balance Sheet & General Ledger reconciliations

  • Assisting with month-end preparation

  • Prepare month-end finance reports, including commentary

  • Assist with annual budgets
  • Assist with Audit preparation

  • Assist with other accounting tasks as identified

Essential requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ + demonstrated experience within a similar role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance

  • Studying towards or completed CA/ CPA studies

  • Proven experience using Oracle (Preferred)

  • Intermediate to Advance in Excel

  • Must possess strong working knowledge of Accounting principles

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent written and communication Skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Positive team player with a collaborative focus
