  • Temporary position, starting ASAP

Work within the HR team in this key government department to provide leadership and management in the delivery of HR strategic initiatives, projects, services and business operational outcomes.

Our SA Government client requires a consultative HR Business Partner to take on and manage the delivery of strategic and operational HR services supporting the organisation across several sectors.

As a Senior HR Business Partner you will work with the executive team, senior managers and staff to develop a positive organisational culture, which fosters accountability, innovation, continuous improvement and flexibility. Your role will be a key driver in ensuring the effective development and implementation of HR strategies, policies and processes building capability across your portfolio.

You will report to the Manager of Human Resources, who will work closely with you, building your capabilities to tackle the HR issues that arise within a service-oriented environment.

You will have a down-to-earth approach, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, a strong work ethic and desire to drive continuous improvement and successful business outcomes. You will also be able to demonstrate your sound generalist knowledge and expertise of IR/ER matters as they translate to everyday business needs. Strong experience within the government sector is preferred.

Your key deliverables will include:

  • Contributing to high level policy development on matters relating to workforce development and legislative compliance.
  • Engage with Executives and Senior Managers effectively in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and organisational change.
  • Facilitate business and workforce planning and succession planning to achieve transformational change supporting the strategic direction of our client.
  • Deliver a high level of proactive consultation, support, management and advice to managers and staff in employee relations, encompassing equal employment opportunity/diversity case management.
  • Provide specialist advice to enable officers, managers and workers to meet their obligations under the WHS Act, and enable the delivery of WHS outcomes.

Your capacity to facilitate change and achieve business objectives whilst managing a consistent and diverse work load will ensure your success in the role.
