About the Job:
As a Water Cart/Articulated Haul Truck Operator, playing a crucial role in supporting mining operations by efficiently and safely operating water carts and dump trucks. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our projects, ensuring the effective management of water distribution and material transportation on site.
- Operate water carts and dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to operational guidelines and safety protocols.
- Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of equipment in accordance with operational guidelines.
- Transport and distribute water as needed for dust suppression and other site requirements
- Collaborate with the water management team to optimize water usage and maintain environmental compliance
- Transport materials, including ore, waste, and other materials, to designated areas within the mining site
- Work closely with the mining team to achieve daily production targets
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures, actively promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Assist the maintenance team in routine equipment inspections and minor repairs
- Report any equipment issues promptly to ensure optimal performance
- Keep accurate records of water and material transportation activities, equipment usage, and any incidents or observations.
What you need to succeed:
- Previous experience as a Water Cart/Dump Truck Operator in a mining or construction environment.
- Full work rights
- Able to pass a pre employment medical and D&A
- Valid heavy equipment operator license/certification (if applicable)
- Able to provide Rii’s for various machine competencies alternatively VOC’s training transcripts, detailing on company letterhead
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
