Part time Area Manager - Early childhood sector

Our local government client based in the northern part of Melbourne is surrounded by a community that is fast growing and culturally diverse. Their childcare services portfolio is large with a strong plan for continued growth into the future.

We are seeking to engage with an experienced Area Manager who can manage the day to day operations of one of their large services. Reporting into a Regional manager your duties include:

  • Ensure high standards in service delivery are met across childhood services
  • Supervise and assist staff on day to day issues or queries
  • Lead a team of 20 direct reports
  • Provide a strong pedagogical leadership in program planning
  • Focus on full range of compliance with policies and procedures
  • Actively engage with the community with a strong focus on continued satisfaction
  • Align your service and ensure it is in line with the rest of the organisation model

To be successful in this role you will ideally have the current experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years framework
  • Relevant knowledge of policy, legislation and compliance within the Early Childhood sector
  • Exposure to budget and resource management
  • Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood development or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead staff

You will have the ability to work the days and hours that suits your lifestyle. This is a part time role working 3 days a week or 5 short days.
