As the Establishment & Contract Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate workforce establishment data, ensuring alignment with organisational structures and budgets. You will also manage contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and vendor relationships, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the agency’s workforce establishment, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of positions, staff movements, and organisational structure.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure establishment data aligns with workforce planning, budget allocation, and organisational priorities.
- Oversee the contract lifecycle management process, including contract creation, negotiation, performance monitoring, and renewal.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant legislation in the management of contracts.
Key Capabilities:
- Strong organisational skills with experience managing workforce establishment and contract management processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and manage relationships.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and manage data related to establishment and contracts.
- Sound knowledge of government procurement frameworks, policies, and relevant legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Contract Management, or a related field are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in establishment or contract management, preferably within the public sector.
- Knowledge of APS procurement frameworks, contract management processes, and establishment systems is desirable.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this position you will need to be an Australian Citizen, hold a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) or be willing to obtain one
Candidates who are permanently employed in the APS are encouraged to apply as a section 26, labour hire, or NGO. Also, candidates who are currently working in a private sector with strong transferable skills, are highly encouraged to apply.
