Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst (APS6), to demonstrate the following responsibilities but is not limited to:
- Support the build of a Supply Chain Management System technology roadmap along with the SMEs, Product Owners and Logistic Service Provider.
- Work with a range of stakeholders (both internal and external) to determine business requirements and document as required.
- Facilitate workshops as needed with business stakeholders and the development team to ensure a common understanding of requirements.
- Support the collection of information from multiple sources, such as solution design documents, business requirement specifications, IT Strategy documents, etc., and represent them in a consolidated collection.
- Perform GAP analysis of the current systems and present findings in a Visio Diagram covering Products, Channels, Stakeholders, System, and Data Flow.
- Provide objective advice, expertise, and specialist knowledge to create options analysis and plans for business improvement activities.
- Work closely with project managers, software developers, and test analysts to provide an understanding of business requirements and evaluate options for application.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical team members/stakeholders using advanced written, verbal, and visual techniques to negotiate shared outcomes.
Key Capabilities:
- 4+ years of experience working in a Business Analyst role across major ICT integration projects at a Federal Government Department.
- Knowledge and experience working within the Supply Chain and Inventory Management sector is advantageous.
- Display a high level of attention to detail and communicate with a degree of influence.
- Showcase problem-solving and critical thinking skills in daily work.
- Demonstrate experience in delivering and supporting the end-to-end process of major IT/ICT-enabled projects across Federal Departments.
- Produce business analysis products, including functional and non-functional requirements, business models, and user stories.
- Possess knowledge of Cloud Computing, including understanding cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and how data is stored.
- Display sound judgment and analytical capabilities to make informed recommendations to appropriate channels.
- Experience in training and delivering workshops across divisions to support the integration and rollout of solutions is advantageous.
- Show a high degree of adaptability and continuity, working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build evolving solutions as business requirements change throughout the project lifecycle.
