We currently have multiple contract opportunities available across the Federal Government at the APS5, APS6 and EL1 levels. These opportunities are working in all aspects of the Governance space including blended roles focusing on Legal and FOI, Risk and Audit and Quality Assurance. As an experienced Governance officer, you will be self motivated and capable of bringing your talents to our clients who value hard work and commitment. Holding a current Security Clearance will be highly regarded.

Your new role

You will bring the following experience to your new role:

  • Have a detailed knowledge of governance compliance reporting
  • Experience in delivering corporate operational and strategic planning support
  • Knowledge of corporate governance compliance reporting
  • Knowledge of contemporary corporate risk management practices
  • Knowledge of business continuity management
  • The ability to deliver parliamentary oversight (e.g. Senate Estimates, questions on notice, ministerials etc.).
  • Work Health and Safety
  • Fraud prevention and control
  • External Compliance and Reporting

Your responsibilities include

  • Developing, maintaining and updating the governance framework (including policies, procedures, protocols and similar).
  • Facilitating compliance monitoring of the corporate governance framework and business processes.
  • Providing corporate risk management support (including policy and protocol development, risk registers and mandatory risk reporting obligations).
  • Providing business continuity planning oversight.
  • Assisting with implementation and ongoing activities of any projects.
  • Facilitating corporate strategic and operational business planning.
  • Providing advice to internal stakeholders on corporate strategy functions.
  • Manage administration of Freedom of Information.
  • Manage ongoing insurance requirements and administration of insurance claims.
  • Provide assistance in the monitoring of budgets, income and expenditure, accruals and monthly variances.
  • Assist in the procurement and management of contracts as required.
  • Provide reasonable support with functions as required.
