This is a temporary contract, working full time hours (37.5 per week) through Randstad.
About the role:
The role will manage a portfolio of internal review requests, which are reviewable by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. The role will examine all relevant documentation relating to a request for review, request further information and consult with internal technical advisors where necessary to arrive at a decision.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Undertake Internal Review decisions.
- Monitoring and managing caseloads in line with legislative timeframes.
- Apply legislation, operational guidelines, and policy to individual requests.
- Collect further information by speaking directly with applicants/participants and their representatives, as well as speaking with other staff where necessary.
- Draft clear, concise, and plain language reasons for decisions.
- Collate relevant material supporting the decision letter.
- Communicate effectively with participants and their representatives to explain reasons for decisions, the review and appeals process and options open to them.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role - case management, claims assessor, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Australian citizenship (mandatory).
