Your new organisation:

This well-known Federal Government agency based in Canberra is looking for an APS5 Client Manager to join their Project Delivery team on a temporary basis. This opportunity is for a start as soon as possible until June 2022. You will work as part of a high performing and dynamic team that manages around 200 low to medium risk projects.

Your responsibilities:

As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a number of grant funding projects. Your duties will include but is not limited to:

• Maintaining excellent relationships with contracted parties and the industry
• Preparing minutes for the delegates requesting approval for achievement of project milestones.
• Negotiating simple variations to contracts based on project progress and undertaking associated administration to facilitate approval by delegate.
• Undertaking regular risk assessments and reporting
• Setting up and following contract management plans for either each project or group of similar projects.
• Contributing to and use of relevant business processes (including the Grants Management System).

To be successful:

• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in contract management (grants ideally), including developing and managing work plans, and managing financial and other reporting processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in stakeholder management and service delivery
• Sound knowledge of, and compliance with, legislative, financial and administrative frameworks
• Experience in public administration
• Knowledge of the Google IT platform (ideally)
