One of our Federal Government clients is looking to engage with prospective candidates who are skilled and experienced working in Federal Government and looking for a new opportunity. As an experienced Policy and/or Project specialist, working as APS 5-6, you will be self motivated and capable of bringing your talents to our client who values hard work and commitment.

Your new role

You will bring the following experience to your new role:

  • Effective written correspondence such as briefs, policy, reports
  • Ability to develop in depth knowledge of new subject matter quickly to advise and recommend on policy matters
  • In depth research and analysis on relevant topics to help inform policy
  • Working effectively within team environments and stakeholders for positive outcomes
  • Input and understanding of project management within a Federal Government arena
  • Assisting the program with business improvement tasks and projects where required.
  • Contribute to maintaining related departmental instructional and reference materials as needed.
  • Contribute to related policy and goals of the team, branch and division by assisting with tasks and consulting with other teams.

About you

  • Strong written skills that are aligned with Government writing style.
  • High level of experience in a programme management experience.
  • Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Enthusiasm and initiative to input ideas and follow direction.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • A commitment to support and promote relevant government objectives.
  • You will be an Australian citizen and ideally hold a security clearance

Your responsibilities include

  • Providing high quality policy advice.
  • Strategic thinking and contributing to policy development.
  • Producing written materials such as ministerial briefs and correspondence, other briefings as well as a range of policy and issues papers.
