About the Role:

Our client is looking for a Program Support Officer who will be responsible for managing the team mailbox and assignment of tasks to Program Offices and Senior Program Officers and other stakeholders within the agency and their partner organisations.

Duties:

  • Mailbox management, case management and coordination of tasks to resolve complex enquiries.
  • Co-ordinate and follow up tasks assigned to other teams within the Agency and partner organisations.
  • Undertake research to address complex issues/complaints in consultation with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Prepare less complex draft written material as required for enquiries, Ministerial Correspondence, Ministerial Briefs, Commonwealth Ombudsman complaints, Office of the Information Commissioner complaints, FOI requests and other requests for information.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Create, document and review procedures and other artefacts used by the Information Office.
  • Prepare reports in relation to team tasks and outcomes.
  • Adhere to the Agency Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Other duties as directed.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Well-developed analytical, research skills and problem solving ability.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Skills in using a range of software products.
  • Organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing tasks.

Previous experience in co-ordination of responses to enquiries, Ministerial Correspondence, Ministerial Briefs, Commonwealth Ombudsman complaints, Office of the Information Commissioner complaints, Freedom of Information requests and/or other requests for information is desirable.

This role requires that the successful candidate possess a Baseline Clearance.
