One of our well respected clients is looking for proactive and experienced Program/Grant Designers at the APS 6 level. This role is being offered for a 3 month contract and they would like someone to start ASAP. Our client is at the forefront of supporting client agencies in driving and increasing program performance, delivering high quality services and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, policy and guidelines.

Your role:

Under limited direction the successful applicant will be required to:

  • Coordinate and support the development of grant rounds while facilitating relationships with clients and other teams in the Hub.
  • Offer support and advice during NPP development and the pre-design phase.
  • Develop Forecast Opportunities to indicate potential Grant Opportunities.
  • Facilitate Program Design sessions.
  • Determine the most appropriate Program Model and selection process.
  • Facilitate the required Activity Design Risk Assessments.
  • Work with client agencies to identify program reporting requirements.
  • Establish technical information to inform the Application Form and Grant Agreement.
  • Provide assurance that our Design services comply with legislative obligations.
  • Coordinate a handover pack to proceed to the Selection and Establishment Branch.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong client focused approach supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a complex and high change management area.
  • Expertise across the government grants program lifecycle and/or management with an understanding of the Shared Services environment and the Whole Of Government grants reform.
  • Experience with grant management systems, e.g. FOFMS, Data Exchange, Qlik, SAP.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective and collaborative client relationships across multiple projects, processes and priorities.

  • Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team environment, to deliver high quality work within deadlines utilising very strong time management and organisational skills.
