About your company :

My Client in one of the Federal government departments is seeking to engage with talented candidates who are experienced in procurement advisory at the APS 6 level. This position will utilise your talent to provide expert advice and support to departmental staff to ensure procurement processes are in line with commonwealth Procurement Regulations and policy guidelines.

The Finance branch operates within the Finance, Legal and IT Division and is led by the CFO. This branch provides high quality advice and support to executives and department’s business divisions to assist them to deliver their programs and activities.

About your role :

To be successful in this position you need to be able to apply your knowledge and experience in procurement related policies and contract management. You will be known by your excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Your duties will include :

  • Provide unique procurement and probity advice to business area
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with other business divisions including commonwealth agencies
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries raised by help desk
  • Review and publish procurement document inline with legislative requirements
  • Coordinate of procurement related reporting
  • Undertake AusTender publishing and administrative requirements
  • Quality assurance of procurement registration

What you will need to exceed :

As an exceptional APS 6 Procurement advisor, you will bring following skills,experience and attributes :

  • Through knowledge of government procurement rules and related policies and regulation
  • Ability to build strong relationships with procurement proactively liaise with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skill on complex procurement processes, issues and effectively advice best solutions
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise task in fast paced environment
  • Advanced thinker and planner to avoid delay in work and procedures progress

Qualification and requirements :

  • Previous experience in government procurement
  • Previous experience in procurement advisory team
  • Certificate IV in procurement and contracting is highly desirable
  • Baseline security clearance
  • Internal Employment check
