The Strategy and Coordination Unit (SCU) manages and monitors the implementation of the Ethical Supplier Mandate (the Mandate) and the Ethical Supplier Threshold (the Threshold). Additionally, the SCU undertakes policy development, policy review, and provides training and tactical advice to government agencies and suppliers on application of the Mandate and the Threshold. As secretariat to the Tripartite Procurement Advisory Panel, the SCU plays a critical role in maintaining the Queensland Government’s commitment to ethical procurement under the Buy Queensland procurement approach.
As the Manager of a small team you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to the senior leadership, government agencies, Government Owned Corporations, Statutory Bodies and key stakeholders on development, implementation and review of procurement-related strategies, frameworks, policies and guidelines to improve procurement compliance outcomes for key policy initiatives including Ethical Supplier Mandate, Ethical Supplier Threshold under the Queensland Procurement Policy.
