Executive Assistant

Randstad’s dedicated Government Team has been partnering with Local, State and Federal Government Departments and Authorities across Australia for over 25 years. We are proactively seeking experienced AO4 level Executive Assistant’s for upcoming opportunities within the Brisbane CBD.

You will have a background in providing high level executive support, with the ability to think strategically whilst being able to:

  • Previous experience in a similar AO3/AO4 position essential
  • Forward thinking, proactive and motivated work ethic
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Proficient computer skills, ability to use Microsoft applications and the internet (CTM, The Source/TRIM and SAP experience advantageous).
  • Ability to read and interpret relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • High level problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skil

Within this role you will utilise your skills and experience gained within a similar position. You will work within a team and deliver on the following requirements of this role:

  • Provide confidential secretarial and executive support to an Executive Director in a fast-paced and sensitive working environment, including the management of the Executive Director’s emails and appointment diary and overseeing the organisation of meetings, conferences and events.
  • Consult and negotiate with executive management and other senior officers to resolve any matters as requested by the Executive Director.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the offices of senior executives within the department and external clientele.
  • Organise executive travel arrangements including the planning of itineraries, travel bookings, accommodation and preparation of expense claims
  • Develop and maintain effective business systems and processes including managing the information flow within a division
  • Coordinate and assist the Executive Director and divisional staff with the resolution of administrative tasks and issues.
  • Prepare confidential reports and executive correspondence.
  • Actively participate in and support the development and implementation of divisional projects
